People with vestibular disorders often experience problems with vertigo, dizziness, visual disturbance, and imbalance. Other problems can also arise that are secondary to vestibular disorders, such as nausea, vomiting, reduced ability to focus or concentrate, and fatigue. There is evidence that vestibular rehabilitation can be effective in improving symptoms related to many vestibular (inner ear/balance) disorders. (www.vestibular.org)
Our therapists have taken courses and workshops in vestibular rehabilitation, and are trained in completing a thorough vestibular assessment. The goal of our vestibular rehabilitation therapy is to alleviate both the primary and secondary problems caused by vestibular disorders.
