Working with Stroke Survivors: How to Maximize their Potential

April 4, 2016: Life Skills Therapy successfully hosted our two part workshop on Functional Use of Upper Extremity; and Functional Use of Lower Extremity. This is part of our series of workshops on Working with Stroke Survivors: How to maximize their potential. The workshops were jointly presented by Amit Kumar, OT; and Kim Hall, Physiotherapist at Physio2u. Over 35 rehab professionals attended the workshops.

Workshop on Stroke Rehabilitation

January 4, 2016: Life Skills Therapy and NeuroFunction Rehab invite you to attend our 2-day workshop to learn functional upper and lower extremity exercises and handling skills for people with neurological impairments. The workshop is aimed at Kinesiologists, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy new graduates and students who want to learn and improve their handling skills to ensure a safe therapeutic environment for neurological impaired clientele.

June 22, 2015: Our 10 week upper extremity group therapy program was successfully completed on June 16 with a surprise potluck lunch organized by our participants. Kudos to the stroke survivors for their active and enthusiastic participation in this program. We now look forward to the lower extremity group program.
