A little bit about us
NeuroFunction Rehab, a division of LS Life Skills Therapy Services Inc., opened its doors in March 2015 after a service gap for clients discharged from hospital was identified by its founders, Amit Kumar, OT and Lakshmi Gupta, OT. We began by providing services to clientele with neurological impairments, and have quickly expanded to offer other services due to demand. Our parent company, Life Skills Therapy is an award winning community rehabilitation services provider which was founded in 2011. For more details, please visit lifeskillstherapy.ca.
We specialize in rehabilitation of clients with brain injury, stroke, concussion and other neurological, orthopedic and chronic impairments. Our experienced therapists work with you to create individual programs that are based on your goals. We are dedicated to optimizing our clients’ function and health, and maximizing their independence to encourage participation in meaningful activities.
Client centred: Our company strongly believes in the value of a client centred approach. We always aim to develop a collaborative and respectful partnership with our clients.
Accountability: We measure this by evaluating our outcomes, and reporting them back to our clients, and fee payors. We measure the effectiveness of the interventions provided as well as our response times, service intensity, and overall program costs.
Commitment to quality: We are committed to provide an exceptional quality of service. We continuously endeavour to focus on the quality of our services by seeking client feedback; engaging in continuing education; and other on-going quality improvement initiatives.
We work with our clients to create individual therapy programs tailored to suit our clients’ needs. Our goal as rehabilitation professionals is to create a supportive environment in which our clients can reach their full potential and overcome barriers that limit their independence.
We emphasize evidence-based practice to ensure our recommendations are consistent with current research.
We aim to provide an expert and professional service, and make a positive difference in the lives of our clients. We take an open-minded approach to client rehabilitation and consider the client’s work life, home environment, family traditions, and cultural and spiritual beliefs.
